JOB DETAILS:
Proposal Writing for Research and Innovation Projects, 5th to 6th December, 2019. Training fee K1,650 or USD 300 for international participants
This course is aimed at equipping individuals in all sectors with the relevant skills and know-how to produce engaging, high quality, successful proposals for development projects and research. This course has been designed to increase organizations’ chances of winning competitive funds from partners, donors, government & other entities. The course covers the various types of bids and proposals and the various approaches needed to reflect these factors including planning, writing the bid, structure and writing style as well as partnership development, budgets and eligibility.
Job Responsibilities:
• Introduction to resource mobilization principles and strategies
• Introduction to key elements of a well-crafted proposal
• A snapshot of the current funding environment for nonprofit organizations
• Basic proposal elements, proposal formats and proposal summary.
• Important elements of a successful proposal
• The life-cycle of proposal development from idea through to submission
• Needs assessment, project design frameworks, problem statement, problem justification, project goals and objectives setting, project output and outcomes, project strategy and approaches and project implementation planning.
• Project Log Frame Design/Monitoring and Evaluation Plan
• Communication, learning, adjusting and decision making
• Key elements of technical reporting
