JOB DETAILS:
The Emerging Farmers Partnership (EFP) Zambia Project is funded by USAID and implemented by Global Communities, in partnership with Corteva Agrisciences and John Deere/Tata International. The Overall Objective of the EFP project is to catalyze the transformation of Zambia’s agriculture sector through improving the sustainable farming practices and commercialization of emerging farmers in the selected districts. Global Communities intends to apply part of the grant for Consultancy Services for “ Facilitating Development of Business Plans for Emergent Farmers “.

Roles and objectives
• The main objective of the assignment is to formulate and develop comprehensive time bound Business Plan guidelines that will improve maize productivity and profitability for emerging farmers to transform into commercial entities in the selected districts of Zambia. The main activities of the assignment will include,but not be limited to: (1) Formulate detailed business plans guidelines tailored according to maize productivity requirements; (2) Provide capacity building and technical support during the development of Business Plans for the emerging farmers and key Global Communities project staff.
• Global Communities now invites eligible (individual) consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services.
• Eligibility criteria and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with USAID and Global Communities’ Procurement Rules and Procedures set out. Please, note that interest expressed by a consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of Global Communities to include him/her in the final shortlist.
• The duration of this assignment is one (1) year on a rolling basis. The Consultant will be based in Lusaka with frequent travels to target project districts.
• Interested Consultants shall provide information on their qualifications and experience demonstrating their ability to undertake this Assignment (CVs, experience with similar assignments, etc.). They may obtain further information at the address below during office hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (from Monday to Thursday) and 8:00 a.m to 2:00 pm on Friday
