JOB DETAILS:
Our client, a state-owned enterprise, based in Lusaka, responsible for spearheading the development of Zambia's domestic industrial capacity, creating jobs and playing a critical role in the establishment and sustainability of industries across the agriculture, livestock and forestry value chains, tourism, manufacturing, mining, infrastructure and financial services requires innovative, dynamic, results-oriented professionals with a high level of integrity to fill the above vacant position.

The job holder will have the overall responsibility of implementing the financial strategy and driving the delivery of the organisation's financial performance through the Budget and Forecasting process to ensure strategic alignment to business objectives.
He/she will drive synergies within the Group, effectively partnering with Group counterparts to Identify, share and embed opportunities for optimisation. In addition, the Incumbent will be ensuring availability, adherence and compliance with all regulatory, statutory and Internal Financial Policy and accounting reporting requirements and provide financial guidance to the Executive Management Team Key Result Areas.

Principal Accountabilities (include but are not limited to the following)
Corporate strategy and Business
• Planning and Corporate Budget Drives the formulation and implementation of the corporate budget and puts in place control and monitoring strategies
• Improve profitability through revenue and cost optimization
• Attain 50% contribution of non-dividend revenues to total revenues to improve profitability

Cost Optimization
• Ensure costs optimisation by creating regular monitoring mechanism Group Financial Reporting
• Provide timely management accounts to ald management in making informed decisions to support efficient and effective operations of the organisation and the Group
• Preparation of group and company statutory financial statements in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards, International Accounting standards and other relevant local Laws and regulations.

Consolidated Group Budget
• Ensure timely consolidation of the group annual budget to provide an objective measure of monthly group performance. Cashflow Management
• Management Inflows Including Internally generated Inflows of dividends, rental Income and management fees and externally mobilised inflows of arrangement of overdraft facilities and commercial bank loans for operational purposes.
People Management and Leadership

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Full Grade Twelve School Certificate
• A Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, and/or equivalent Professional Qualification i.e. ACCA, CIMA, CA
• Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Commerce, or equivalent Professional Qualification in relevant field from reputable institution.
• Professional Membership with ZICA/ACCA/ CIMA with a valid practicing certificate
• At least 15 years' post qualification work experience (first Degree/full professional), of which 10 years should have been in senior management or similar position.
• Proven track record of preparation and consolidation of Group Financials; Previous experience at senior level in a Group Holding Company or Senior Manager/ Partner in an Audit Firm that has handled Group Audits will be an added advantage.
