JOB DETAILS:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Distributions Manager to join our reputable newspaper Company and manage newspaper distribution, Courier and epaper.

Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategies to optimize the distribution process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of newspapers to various outlets.
• Manage and oversee distribution operations, including logistics, inventory management, and transportation.
• Monitor distribution performance metrics, analyze data, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distribution partners, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Collaborate with internal departments, such as production and sales, to forecast demand and plan distribution activities accordingly.
• Develop and implement quality control measures to maintain the integrity of the newspaper throughout the distribution process.
• Lead and manage a team of distribution staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in distribution management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards in all distribution activities.

Requirements
• Full grade 12 certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Five (5) years proven experience as a Distributions Manager or in a similar distribution management role.
• Strong knowledge of distribution processes, logistics, and inventory management.
• Proficient in using distribution management systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• 8 Strong leadership and people management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Membership of Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM) a must.
