JOB DETAILS:
A major new Avocado project located in northern Zambia requires a technically qualified and experienced Farm & Nursery Manager. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture and with a minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in commercial Avocado farming. This position requires a strong understanding of Avocado production. The successful candidate will join a highly proactive, effective and results oriented team. A generous remuneration package is offered to the right candidate.

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Responsible for growing out trees in captive Nursery
• Land development and Field preparation for planting
• Daily planning, organization, supervision and administration of Nursery and Field activities including work force
• Operation of fertigation system
• Technical nutrition, pest and disease management
• Inventory management of Consumables
• Report writing
• Budget preparation
• Maintain compliance with GlobalGAP and other agency standards
