JOB DETAILS:
The Judiciary is an arm of Government of the Republic of Zambia. Its mission is to provide effective and efficient administration of justice accessible to all people in Zambia through impartial and timely adjudication without fear or favour". In order to improve service delivery, the Judiciary in Kitwe Region on the Copperbelt, intends to fill the following vacant positions as indicated below. Applications are therefore invited from suitable candidates to fill the above positions:

(ANNUAL BASIC SALARY K60, 466.69)
The successful candidates will fill position at Kitwe High Court and will report to the Assistant Registrar.
The main responsibility of the Personal Secretary is to undertake all secretarial and administrative duties in order to facilitate effective operation of the office.

Some of the responsibilities will include the following:
• Undertakes accurately the Recording of proceedings during meetings in order to facilitate preparation of minutes and reports.
• Undertakes daily receiving of correspondence and documents from both internal and external sources in order to ensure appropriate attention and action.
• Undertakes effectively the acquisition and serving of beverages and refreshments to officers and visitors in order to extend hospitality. Undertakes timely and accurately the Recording of appointments and assignments in order to ensure attention and action
• Undertakes timely and politely the Receiving and attending to visitors in order to enhance the image of the office.
• Undertakes effectively desk research and collation of data on topical issues in order to facilitate decision making.
• Undertakes timely the preparation of office budgets in order to facilitate acquisition of monetary resources and prudent expenditure.
• Undertakes timely the receiving and placement of telephone calls in order to facilitate communication.
• Undertakes timely arrangement of travel logistics in order to facilitate movement.

Knowledge and skills required:
• Full Grade (12) Twelve/Form V Certificate with at least five (5) credits or better including English.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.
• Minimum Vocational/Professional Qualifications
• Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
• Shorthand/typewriting speed of 100/65wpm Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
• 4 years experience. Communication Skills
• Written Skills - Ability to write reports.
• Oral Skills - Ability to communicate in English. Other Skills/Attributes
• Confidentiality Interpersonal skills Computer literate Initiative
• Diplomacy

Postgraduate Degree
