Lafarge Zambia is looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated, and qualified individual to take up the role of Plant Controller to be based in Chilanga.
Overall Job Purpose
To optimise plant financial performance and co-ordinate the budget and forecast process. .

Main Responsibilities
• To contribute to the optimisation of the Plant and business unit working capital.
• Review investment projects.
• Manage the valuation of the Plant asset portfolio and ensure all records pertaining to Plant
asset status are up to date.
• Monitor the cost allocation and optimisation process.
• Manage the relationship with internal and external auditors and implement correcting actions
within agreed timelines.
• Ensure the consistency, circulation and proper utilisation of Plant information.
• Ensure plant accounting transactions are properly and timely performed.
• Manage queries related to accounting transactions.
• Perform the end period closing process in line with Group best practice with Plant management.
• Identify areas for corrective actions, consolidate modifications and finalise forecasts.
• Calculate plant performance indicators from financial and non – financial data.
• Analyse and report Plant performance indicators.
• Coordinate the Plant budget preparation to meet the business unit requirements..

Minimum Qualifications and Experience/Skills
• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management or cost accounting.
• Ability to identify and drive continuous process change and improvement.
• Very strong organizational and communication skills.
• Open minded to all support functions.
• Attentive to detail
• Methodical and diligent
• Good ethics and personal integrity.
• Must be a registered member of ZICA.
