Moneta Finance Limited is a registered credit provider whose focus is to provide finance to Zambian individuals working in both the private and public sectors. Moneta Finance operates with a head office in Lusaka and strategic branches in Kitwe, Kafue, Chingola, Kabwe, Mufulira, Solwezi, Chipata and Mazabuka.

Summary
The Sales Manager will be responsible for researching and developing marketing opportunities and planning and implementing new sales plans. The sales manager will also manage the sales staff and will perform managerial duties to meet the company’s operations goals. The sales manager will be responsible for maintaining relationships with important customers by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities and also promoting the company’s existing brands.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Sales Manager performs the following essential functions:
• Achieve sales goals set in corporate budget
• Provide on-the-ground support for branch managers as they generate leads and close new deals
• Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them. Maintaining strong customer relations
• Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to capture key demographics
• Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary
• Coordinating with marketing on projects and trade shows
• Promoting the company and product
• Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
• Sourcing potential new customers
• Maintaining regular contact with existing customers
• Developing sales strategies
• Maintaining product brochures, marketing material and price lists
• Traveling to the customer’s location to talk about our product range
• Demonstrating the technical features and benefits of our products
• Advising customers on latest technology upgrades(Fintech) and related products
• Composing customer proposals and Memorandums of Understanding(MoUs)
• Identifying revenue enhancing opportunities
• Plan and implement sales programs to meet and/ or exceed established sales targets
• Lead sales prospecting activities in accordance with the developed sales objectives and strategies
• Engage customers regarding product enquiries and respond on timely basis
• Support sales staff to achieve branch and cluster targets.
• To plan and implement promotions in liaison with Branch managers and other stakeholders
• Management of company sales portfolio
• Preparing of daily, weekly and monthly sales reports
• Recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching, and managing sales teams to meet sales objectives
• Staying current in the industry by attending sales expos, conferences, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks
• Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
• Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales program accordingly
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education/ Experience:
• Qualifications: A Marketing and public relations related degree or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum three (3) years’ work experience in a related industry, out of which one(1) year should have been with a microfin.
• Must be fully paid members of Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM)
• Must have a clean valid driving license.
• Must have proven negotiation and selling skills, good leadership and organisational skills, good communication skills including writing and computer skills.
• Must have three traceable referees and provide the same in the CV

• Broad knowledge of the organization’s policies, products and/or services
• Ability to work in a team environment
