Job Summary:
Farmfeed Limited is seeking a motivated and experienced Stock Supervisor to oversee our inventory management and stock control operations. As a Stock Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory records, efficient stock movement, and timely stock replenishment. You will play a vital role in maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing stock discrepancies, and supporting the smooth functioning of our supply chain.

Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using inventory management software/systems.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate stock availability for production and sales.
• Conduct regular stock checks and audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Implement and enforce stock control procedures to minimize stock loss, damage, and theft.

Stock Movement and Replenishment:
• Oversee stock movement within the warehouse, ensuring efficient and organized stock handling.
• Collaborate with the purchasing department to forecast stock requirements and facilitate timely ordering.
• Plan and execute stock rotations and arrange for the disposal of obsolete or damaged inventory.

Team Management:
• Supervise and provide guidance to the stock control team, including stock clerks and warehouse staff.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide feedback to team members.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the stock control team.

Reporting and Analysis:
• Generate regular reports on stock levels, stock movements, and stock discrepancies.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement in stock management.

Health and Safety:
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storage and handling of inventory.
• Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety procedures among the stock control team.
• Identify and report any potential hazards or risks related to stock management.

Candidate Requirements:
• Proven work experience as a Stock Supervisor or similar role in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles, stock control procedures, and supply chain operations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze stock data.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software/systems.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to stock management.
• Minimum educational requirements will be a full Diploma in Finance related courses.
