JOB DETAILS:
Job Title: Assistant Stores Officer (1)
Location: Lusaka Provincial Health Office
Job Purpose: To carry out the storage and distribution of goods in order to ensure their safety and availability to end users.
Reports to: Senior Accountant .
Principal Accountabilities;
i. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory of assets and sundries in stores in order to facilitate decision making.
ii. Ensure that all items described as "equipment" are maintained and disposed according to the provisions of the US 45 CFR 75.
iii. Coordinate quarterly stock takes and reconciliation of stock.
iv. Determine stock balances, bin locations, inputs or retrieves data for routine operational needs, prepares reports, and performs routine inventory maintenance
v. Receives and inspects effectively goods in order to ensure their conformity to specifications.
vi. Carries out timely distribution of goods in order to ensure their availability.
vii. Maintains accurate stock records of receipts and issues in order to ensure their accountability.
viii. Carries out timely identification of obsolete, redundant, scrap and surplus goods in order to facilitate disposal.
ix. Contributes to an accident-free work environment by keeping the stores area clean, neat and orderly.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate with five (5) credits or better including Mathematics, Science and English;
• CIPS Diploma or Diploma in Purchasing and Supply. At least Three (3) years relevant job experience.
• Must be a Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
• Computer literate, with competency in using Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Good proficiency in oral and written English as well as interpersonal skills and
• Ability to work independently
