JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
• To prepare, develop and analyze financial information so that management has reliable numbers on which to base critical decision- making.

Duties and Responsibilities.
• Preparation of timely and accurate management accounts, monthly sales reports, flash reports, and maintain asset register.
• Analysing actual performance versus business plan/budget and prior year performance.
• Monitoring daily department-wise costs and analysing and reporting on a daily basis
• Help in developing and implementing best practices for the costing of products
• Ensure all provisions (transport, business leads, inventory and bad debts) are properly calculated and supported as per applicable standards.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities & recommend those proposals to the management with accurate analysis
• Help in the formulation of standard costs for areas where standard costs do not exist.
• Help with the internal (SHEQ) and external audit where necessary.

• Help in Capital investment analysis.

Skills and Competencies
• Advanced Computer Skills and Applications
• Knowledge of accounting package such as AX dynamics/ Pastel or ACCPAC
• Good Communication skills
• Understanding of Company’s business
• A quick learner and outside the box thinker

Qualifications
• Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with Five (05) Credits better.
• Bachelors’ degree in Accounts
• Member of Zambia Institute Charted Accountants (ZICA)

Work Experience
• Not less than 4 years’ experience as an Accountant
