JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
The Subsidiary Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing financial planning, risk management, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting for Huawei’s subsidiaries. This role ensures financial stability, compliance, and operational efficiency, while developing financial strategies to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Budgeting
• Develop and manage annual budgets, quarterly rolling forecasts, and financial reports for subsidiaries.
• Identify financial risks in achieving subsidiary profitability targets and propose strategic financial solutions.
• Establish and oversee intercompany transaction pricing models to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
• Track financial solution implementation to ensure targets are met.
1. Liquidity & Cash Flow Management
• Manage subsidiary cash flow forecasts (currency-specific) and Net Monetary Assets (NMA) annual budgets.
• Identify risks in achieving liquidity targets (NMA, operating cash flow, intercompany balances, profit distribution).
• Develop and implement liquidity management solutions to ensure financial stability.
• Monitor and optimize working capital, receivables, and payables.
1. Financial Reporting & Compliance
• Analyze financial reports, identify key financial challenges, and develop comprehensive solutions.
• Ensure subsidiary financial health through compliance with financial reporting standards.
• Conduct audits and internal financial reviews to improve reporting accuracy and risk mitigation.
1. Stakeholder Management & Strategy Implementation
• Collaborate with internal finance, accounting, and business teams to align financial strategies with business goals.
• Engage with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Support senior management with financial insights for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
Education & Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field.
• Professional finance certifications (CFA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA) are advantageous.
Experience
• 5+ years of experience in financial management, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or auditing.
• Experience in budget forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with subsidiary finance operations in multinational companies (MNCs) is an advantage.

Technical & Business Skills
• Strong understanding of financial theory, accounting principles, and auditing.
• Expertise in budget forecasting, financial planning, and report analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and ERP financial systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks.
