This FULL-TIME position is focused on development, partnership and fundraising efforts of the organization and will be in Livingstone, Zambia.
Skillsets required:
-fluent English speaker
-professional communication experience
Preferred qualifications:
-fundraising, partnership building, and/or sales experience

Responsibilities:
-Researches and cultivates potential donors and funding sources.
-Develops and updates annual fundraising plans, including legacy giving programs, Major Gift programs, and capital campaigns and any other special donor initiatives.
– Communicates the vision and mission of the organization to internal and external audiences, adjusting the message to attract and build sustaining relationships with diverse audiences.
-Serves as subject matter expert (SME) for fundraising/donor inquiries, maintaining current knowledge of trends.
-Builds institutions partnerships with businesses and philanthropic organizations to secure greater funding.
-Applies to grants directly and leads our grant applications volunteers in any of our grant application processes.
-Ensure that current and prospective major donors are identified, cultivated, retained, and recognized.
-Qualifies a caseload of donors from a larger group of prospects.
-Creates goals for each donor in the caseload based on knowledge of that donor’s interests and financial capacity.
-Creates and executes a communications, cultivation, and stewardship plan for each donor in the caseload.
-Develops customized offers and giving proposals to secure donor support.
-Communicates back to donors the impact of their giving.
-Ensures that major donor portfolios are accurate, strategic and effective and all tracking and databases are maintained.
-Stays in contact with the CEO, president, and board of directors of Free Haven.
