Good Neighbors Zambia started its operations in 2012 and has been working on five Community Development Projects (CDP) namely Mapepe in Chongwe District Chilanga District which was established in 2013, Mphango established in 2014, Chiwena in Mumbwa District established in 2016, shibuyunji District established in 2017 and in rufunsa District which was established in 2022.

Good Neighbors Zambia is conducting Community Development Projects (CDP) to create an environment where children are able to grow up healthy and their rights are protected. Good Neighbor’s expertise in education, child protection, health, water and sanitation, income generation, child rights advocacy, and community partnerships engenders change in communities and strengthens their self-reliance.

Good Neighbors International Zambia is an international charitable non-governmental organization that has a signed agreement with Cornerstone of Hope, committed to improving the welfare of vulnerable people. Currently having opened a primary school with about 70 Orphans attending School, situated in the N’gombe slum in the capital city of Lusaka, the cornerstone of Hope supports orphans who have lost their parents due to HIV AIDS, Orphans who are also infected, and children who are extremely poor due to unemployment or illness of their parents.

Good Neighbors Zambia is requesting a contractor, to help complete the construction of a 2-story building with two x Classrooms, a Laboratory, a Library, a Public Lavatory, and computer rooms that are at 70 % of its work awaiting the final stage of completion.

Other specifications of all the information that the firms will need to provide are indicated below:

Prospective Bidders are required to submit the following:

•  Company Profile
•  Registration/Incorporation Certificate from PACRA or Registrar of Societies.
• Evidence of similar past, completed, or ongoing delivery works
•  TPIN Certificate
•   Valid Tax Clearance Certificate
•  Proof of Physical address

Other requirements;

• A drawing of a structure will be provided to contractors who will be shortlisted.
•  Shortlisted contractors are expected to come up with a Bill of Quantity after a site visit and provision of a structural design.
• Contractors are required then to submit their Bill of Quantity (BOQ) and quotation to complete the school within two (2) weeks after the site visit.

Only electronic submissions will be accepted.

• Submission should be made through zambia@goodneighbors.org not later than 17: 00 Hours, 10th August 2023
• Interested contractors should send submissions as one attachment to the email above.

Note: Good Neighbors Zambia may request necessary and/ or more information during evaluation.

Successful contractors will be contacted within the period of two (2) weeks from the closing date of submission
