JOB DETAILS:
Key Performance Areas
Financial and General Management:
• Submit report on controllable: submit stock holding report to the group operations manager on a weekly basis.
• Set and manage par stock levels to avoid out of stocks.
• Manage the income statement and communicate results to your team.
• Develop and manage an action plan to control expenses and improve conversion to profit and manage stock holding.
• Monitor business indicators (sales year on year & actual vs budget, GP, ticket average, menu mix, day stock take, complaints).
• Communicate results to management.
• Execute and monitor that all daily, monthly & yearly reports & paperwork required by management are carried out timeously and correctly and must be accurate before sending.
• Ensure that daily punch & pay and signed AOD’s are sent to finance.
• Advise management on methods to bring about change.
• Ensure your stores achieve their GP, turnover budgets, and staff attrition is kept to a minimum.

Strategic Management:
• Grow your restaurant from a people market share & profits perspective.
• Help your management team (supervisors & assistant manager) to understand and share your goal for the business and train them to lead.
• Respond to crisis situations and work towards resolving any related problem and sharing the results with management.
• Be responsible for generating weekly and monthly reports and submitting them to the group operations manager.
Grow Sales:
• Generate month-on-month and year-on-year sales growth.
• Grow the business.
Marketing:
• Suggest and submit to management your locality restaurant marketing plans.
• Be fully compliant with the brand.
• Implement strategy for growth.
• Set up customer database for both local and transit customers and create a relationship with them.

Operations:
• Ensure strict compliance with occupational health & safety regulations and any other related legislation.
• Ensure strict adherence to SOP’s and operating system compliance.
• Regularly review cameras to check on staff adherence to operating procedures and theft.
• Ensure your stores pass brand audits on a quarterly basis and draw maintenance schedules for equipment and buildings.
• Ensure your stores have the necessary government certificates & licenses displayed all the time & up to date and be responsible for renewals of the same.

People Management:
• Identify, develop, and retain talent, thereby contributing to realistically reduced staff turnover. There should be a succession plan in place.
• Embody the famous brand’s people philosophy and values, thus enriching people’s lives in the organization.
• Direct and coordinate activities of staff to ensure continuity in operational excellence, maximize return on investment, and increase productivity.
• Manage and plan for all staff leave days (all staff to take leave before the 4th quarter every year) ensuring no staff has access leave days by the end of the year.
• Work with HR in dealing with employee grievances, discipline, and ensure their effective implementation.
• Proactively manage diverse individuals to maximize performance. Recognize and adapt to individual performance in terms of career objectives and other factors to help improve the business.
• Identify, manage, and resolve potential and actual conflicts through effective communication and relationship-building skills. Maintain a sense of composure and credibility that reflects well on the organization.
• Be a team player and lead the team.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Grade 12 certificate.
• Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality.
• Previous experience in quick service restaurants at management level (Quick Service Restaurant) will be an added advantage.
• Ability to handle pressure.
• Good organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Uphold high level of integrity.
• Strong team player.
• Mature disposition.
