Responsibilities:
As a Social Worker at the Free Haven Community Initiative, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:
• Assessment and Client Support:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ needs, strengths, and challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with students to address their social, emotional, and practical needs.
• Counseling and Intervention:
• Provide counseling and emotional support to students facing various challenges, such as mental health issues, family problems, or substance abuse.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to promote positive outcomes for students.
• Advocacy and Case Management:
• Advocate for students’ rights and access to services within the community and social service systems.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaboration and Networking:
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, educators, and community organizations, to coordinate services for students.
• Establish and maintain strong networks with local resources and agencies to support students’ needs.
• Community Outreach and Education:
• Conduct community outreach and educational programs to raise awareness about social issues and available support services.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions on relevant topics as needed.
• Crisis Intervention:
• Respond to crisis situations promptly, providing immediate assistance and referrals as required.
• Implement crisis management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
• Self-Care and Professional Development:
• Prioritize self-care practices to maintain personal well-being in a challenging field.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in social work.

Compensation:
• We offer a competitive salary package for the position of Social Worker, ranging from approximately K5000 to K6000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
