Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Manager to develop, manage, and grow our online platform for laboratory supplies and life science products. This role involves building and maintaining an e-commerce website, managing digital sales channels, optimizing user experience, and creating compelling online content. The successful candidate will also be responsible for social media management, website content updates, and digital marketing strategies to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions.
Key Responsibilities
1. E-Commerce Platform Development & Management
Lead the development and management of the company’s e-commerce website for laboratory and life science products.
Optimize website layout, navigation, and product categorization for an enhanced user experience.
Implement and maintain a secure online payment gateway and checkout process.
Ensure product listings are accurate, complete, and optimized for search engines (SEO).
Monitor website performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with developers for improvements.
2. Digital Sales & Marketing Strategy
Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic and increase online sales.
Implement SEO best practices to improve organic search rankings for product pages and blog content.
Manage Google Ads, PPC campaigns, and remarketing strategies to boost sales and lead generation.
Analyze customer behavior, sales trends, and conversion rates to optimize marketing strategies.
Collaborate with the sales team to align digital marketing efforts with business goals.
3. Website & Content Management
Regularly update website content, including product descriptions, blog articles, and landing pages.
Write and edit engaging website content that enhances product visibility and attracts potential buyers.
Ensure all digital content aligns with brand messaging and industry standards.
Monitor website analytics (Google Analytics, Search Console) to track visitor engagement and conversions.
4. Social Media Management
Develop and execute a social media strategy across platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Create and schedule engaging posts, graphics, and videos to showcase products and industry insights.
Manage social media advertising campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and build an online community of industry professionals.
5. Customer Experience & Support
Implement and oversee live chat, chatbots, and customer support features for online shoppers.
Improve customer journey by ensuring fast response times and a seamless purchasing experience.
Collect and analyze customer feedback to enhance e-commerce usability.
6. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, sales, conversion rates, and customer retention.
Generate detailed reports on website and marketing performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
Recommend data-driven strategies to enhance digital marketing ROI.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Business, IT, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in e-commerce management, digital marketing, or online sales, preferably in laboratory supplies, life sciences, or a related industry.
Technical Skills:
Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento).
Knowledge of SEO, Google Ads, PPC, and social media advertising.
Familiarity with website management tools such as WordPress, CMS platforms, and HTML/CSS.
Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and digital performance tracking tools.
Marketing & Content Skills:
Strong copywriting and content creation abilities for web pages and social media.
Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) are a plus.
Ability to create engaging product descriptions and promotional materials.
