Job Description

About the Role:
• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company, adhering to strict time management practices.
• Utilise specialised cleaning equipment and products, provided by us, with full training to ensure effective and safe use.
• Build strong, professional relationships with fellow staff members, guests, and contractor personnel to support a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct regular inventory checks of cleaning supplies and linens, reporting any shortages or issues to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for additional amenities or services, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals and waste materials.
• Report any maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety concerns observed in guest rooms or common areas to the appropriate department.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of housekeeping storage areas and service corridors.
• Participate in periodic deep cleaning projects and special assignments as directed by management.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure seamless guest experiences and efficient room turnover.
Qualifications
• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded
• Physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to handle repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided)
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with guests, team members, and contractors
• Positive attitude, team spirit, and a strong work ethic
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays as required
