JOB DETAILS:
Kings Chemicals Limited, a leading plastic and packaging manufacturing company based in Lusaka, Zambia, is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as a Sales and Marketing Personnel.
Roles and Responsibilities
• The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to promote and sell plastic and packaging products to businesses. Key duties include identifying potential clients, managing customer relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring sales targets are met, all while adhering to industry regulations and market trends. This role requires a deep understanding of the plastic and packaging industry, strong sales skills, and the ability to build long-term customer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Market Analysis and Sales Strategy Development:
• Conduct market research to identify potential customers and industry trends.
• Analyze competitor activity and develop strategies to gain market share.
• Develop and implement sales plans with specific targets and timelines.
• Customer Acquisition and Relationship Management:
• Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and participation in industry events.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Conduct customer needs assessments to provide tailored plastic and packaging solutions.
• Present product offerings, pricing, and value propositions to potential clients.
• Sales Negotiation and Contract Management:
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with customers.
• Draft and finalize sales contracts while ensuring legal compliance.
• Manage contract renewals and amendments.
• Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise:
• Stay updated on the latest trends in plastic and packaging technologies, materials, and industry regulations.
• Understand the technical specifications of various packaging products to address customer needs effectively.
• Collaborate with product development teams to identify new market opportunities.
• Reporting and Analysis:
• Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and present sales reports to senior management with actionable insights.
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of the plastic and packaging industry.
• Proven track record in B2B sales.
• Ability to manage a sales team and develop talent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in the plastics industry will be an added advantage.
