Zambeef Products PLC is the largest integrated cold chain food products and Agribusiness Company in Zambia and one of the largest in the Southern Africa region. It is involved in the primary production, processing, distribution, and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fish, flour, leather, shoes, stock feed, and day-old chicks throughout Zambia and the surrounding region.

1. OCCUPATIONAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER – MPOMGWE FEEDMILL(X1)
The Required Skills for the role include:
• Ensuring that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
• Ensuring the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
• Ensuring that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
• Ensuring that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
• Ensuring full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained.
• Establishing a full programme of documented health & safety inspections, audits and checks.
• Establish a structured programme of health & safety training throughout the Company.
• Managing and devise the agenda for, chairing and formulating & distributing minutes for the Health & Safety Committee meetings. Ensuring that all agreed action points are completed within deadlines.
• Providing regular reports to the Operations Manager/Senior Management on relevant health and safety activities.
• Immediately stop any unsafe practice in the operation and report to senior management.
• Ensuring any unsafe area is taped off to restrict entry of unauthorised individuals.
• Ensuring all visitors to the operating area of the plant are briefed on health and safety rules and safety gear is issued to these visitors.
The Required Qualifications are:
• A full Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma or Degree in Risk Management, Environmental science or Occupation Health and Safety
• 2-3 years experience
• Member of institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH)
The Skills and Competencies Required for this Role Include:
• Providing specialist Expert knowledge in Occupation Health and Safety.
• Designing and implementing Occupation Health and Safety programs
• Setting standards and processes for factory
• Overseeing performance improvement for the whole factory team
2. TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR MPONGWE FEEDMILL(X1)
The Required Skills for the role include:
• Receiving all picking slips raised by sales office, generate loading orders and follow up on loading orders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of finished products.
• Allocating vehicles for feed deliveries and raw materials and purchases collection.
• Assisting the Logistics Administrator in the daily management of the petty cash.
• Organizing of the internal and external maintenance of the fleet, by informing service providers prior to the arrival of the truck/vehicle.
• Liaison with suppliers of tires and users/drivers and make recommendation to change the tires if necessary.
• Keeping an up-to-date plan and record of the maintenance requirement of the fleet and ensures that drivers are well instructed and carry out the required activities as according to the maintenance plan.
• Executing additional administration task at the request of the Logistics Manager.
• Will be responsible for maintaining the hygiene environment.
• Preparing Monthly Fuel reports, and ensuring that truck operates within the stipulated benchmarks.
• Managing drivers i.e., training, leave planning, coaching and disciplinary action
The Required Qualifications are:
• A full Grade 12 Certificate
• Degree/Diploma in Transport and Logistics or equivalent
• 3-5 years experience
• Skilled in planning, organizing and managing logistics operations
The Skills and Competencies Required for this Role Include:
• providing specialist Expert: logistics and fleet management knowledge.
• Designing and implementing logistics programs.
• Setting Operational Standards: setting standards and processes for logistics team
• Supporting Continuous Improvements: Implementing performance improvement activities for logistics team
• Mentoring and coaching: mentoring and coaching supervisors and subordinate
• People Management, accountable for performance management, formal informal development and succession planning
3. ELECTRICIAN MPONGWE FEEDMILL (x1)
The Required Skills for the role include:
• In conjunction with the superior, procures work orders and/or plant/machinery breakdown reports for repair and installation of instruments and electrical plant machinery in the factory and offices, critically analyses extent, nature and degree of work and material required
• Electricians are to be involved in all repair, maintenance and installation work of plant/machinery and standards equipment as well as physical checks to ensure strict adherence to engineering specifications and safety
• Carries out daily inspections of the plant in order to ascertain if all machines and equipment are functioning as per normal. Should he discover any abnormalities, he is to immediately bring this to his superior attention. As this could ultimately effect production targets
• Adheres to planned maintenance schedules for all electrical plant and equipment for approval by superior, the execution of the same in order to prevent excessive wear and tear and unnecessary breakdowns
• Repairs electronic devices/equipment following information from blue prints and manufacture specifications using hand tools and text instruments
• Analyses and interprets test data, adjusts, calibrates, align and modifies circuiting, components and records effects on unit’s performance, in accordance with electronic norms.
• Will be responsible for maintaining the quality and feed safety management system
The Required Qualifications are:
• Full Grade 12 certificate
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• 3 years relevant experience
• Member of EIZ
The Skills and Competencies Required for this Role Include:
• Providing specialist Expertise: Maintenance/Engineering knowledge and skill.
• Adheres to Operational Standards in the execution work
• Supporting Continuous Improvements: implements performance improvement activities
• Communication Skills: be able to communicate in efficient and clear manner
• Problem solving skills: able to resolve tasks proactively
4. WEIGHBRIDGE OPERATOR MPONGWE FEEDMILL (X1)
The Required Skills for the role include:
• Ensuring correct dispatch of products through computer weighing and verification.
• Ensuring company goods are received in good order, condition and of correct tonnage
• Ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate weighing
• Updates and presents stock reports through email to senior management
• Monitors movement, distribution and issuance of diesel to fleet
• Other duties are as directed by superiors
The Required Qualifications are:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Certificate in Logistics/ Fleet Management or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ previous experience (Computer operations/Geotab operator)
The Skills and Competencies Required for this Role Include:
• Providing specialist Expert: logistics and fleet management knowledge.
• Preparing detailed Daily weighbridge reports.
• Communication Skills: be able to communicate in efficient and clear manner
• Problem solving skills: able to resolve issues within the department
