JOB DETAILS:
Bigtree Brands (BTB) is a dynamic Company and has rapidly grown into one of the largest beverage companies in Zambia. We are urgently searching for highly motivated and result oriented individuals.

LOCATION: MULTI FACILITY ECONOMIC ZONE (MFEZ), LUSAKA

1. QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEMS MANAGER
The role is responsible for ensuring that products and services meet the established standards set by the company. The role is specifically responsible for the following:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implement the Food Safety Policy Procedure, and certifications
• Carry out Audits for both internal & external stakeholders with a view to improve quality.
• Process validation, training & risk assessment.
• Ensure Health and Safety culture is promoted and adhered to.
• Handle Customer Complaints & External communication as required.
• Prepare Monthly Plant Quality Index and Quality KPIs
• Manage the departmental budget by ensuring optimal use and tracking of reagents and equipment.
• Assist in the training of production staff in connection with new products, processes, equipment and hygiene requirements.
• Ensure laboratory methods and inspection techniques are effective and continually updated
• Coordination of commissioning and pre-production trials of new products and equipment in conjunction with R&D.
• People Management and coordinating day-to-day activities.
• Ensure that there is a Total Quality Management system in the plant.
• Traceability exercises and coordination / Audit other Bigtree plants or wherever required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science & Technology /Science laboratory Technology, Chemical engineering or in any science-based field e.g. Chemistry, Biochemistry, Process engineering.
• Knowledge on the production line process, laboratory standards, GMP/GLP/HACCP and basic food safety standards, industrial safety, chemical testing and standardization methods
• Analytical and Problem-solving skills
• Computer and Report writing skills
• Minimum experience of 7-10 Years in relevant Food field
