Position Description
This position reports to the Mine Operations Superintendent. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.
Responsibilities
• Managing Kascco Training activities to ensure the needs of the business are met and compliance with the requirements of the various packages are met
• Develop, administer, monitor and evaluate employees training development programs at Kascco.
• Ensure compliance with company training and development policies and procedures and relevant Zambian Legislation.
• Promote continuous improvement by challenging work practices and encouraging employee’s participation in new concepts.
• Design and develop training /develop programs based on both the organizations and the individual needs.
• Maintaining accuracy and maintenance training records and filling system.
• Assist with development supporting documents in area of expertise,
• Train to minimize environmental incidents or discharges and implement solutions to improve environmental conversation.
• Ensuring all operating procedures/standards are accurate and fully communicated to and practiced by the team regarding safety.
• Strategizing and implementing plans to achieve client’s targets in consultation with relevant stakeholders in a safe manner.
• Ensure all training objectives are achieved.
• Ensure all training is organized and coordinated effectively.
• Training requirements to achieve maximum production efficiency and equipment utilization.
• Training requirements to exceed industry best practices in safety and efficiency.
• Conduct assessments in the required format in line with best practices.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
• G12 Certificate
• Teaching Methodology will be added as an advantage.
• Good experience in mining training and Ancillary Equipment, Trucks/Excavators.
• Good experience as an Assessor
• Knowledge of relevant occupational health and safety rules and regulations as well as legislative training requirements.
• Good experience in mining industry Equipment
• Willingness to work in a diverse environment.
• Able to coach new employees.
