JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
The IT Manager will be responsible for the supervision, implementation, and maintenance of the group’s computing needs. Ensure the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software used within the group. Take the lead in formulating IT Policies and guidelines across the Group.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
• Managing IT staff by recruiting and training employees, communicating job expectations, and monitoring performance.
• Overseeing the annual IT budget and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary.
• Generating performance reports for operating systems.
• Produce management reports within the business system as required
• Verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
• Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
• Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes.
• Maintain all service level agreements and licensing requirements
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Assuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Master in any of the above fields will be a plus
• Must have a minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in managing IT department for a multinational company (can either be a Commercial Bank, Telecoms or Insurance Company)
• Professional Qualifications in CISCO, IT Service Delivery and support, Microsoft, and other IT related professional qualifications
• Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services.
• Experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
• Must be Microsoft/Fortinet/Corbit Certified
• Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security will be a plus
• Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage
• Must have a valid ICTAZ License
