Job Summary:
The Depot Liaison Officer is a front-line operation and customer service position responsible for coordinating, scheduling and dispatching deliveries of Client liquid fuel products to various locations. This position must ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, productivity, safety, and efficiency. You will be expected to adhere to defined procedures and ensure that all legal requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
Client Liaison Responsibilities
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the business, as well as an understanding of how that impacts the other entities of contact
• Monitor, coordinate, and communicate the strategic objectives of the business
• Collaborate and communicate successfully with other entities outside of the business
• Suggests and deploys processes to increase customer satisfaction, efficiency, value, and/or lower costs
• Creates and supplies information for determining performance of Key Performance Indicators (“KPI”)
• Scheduling and dispatching drivers, work crews, vehicles or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs
• Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from Drivers, field inspectors, supervisors or emergency personnel
• Preparing daily work such as schedules
• Keeping and organizing work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other information
• Assists with transport dispatching and related activity·
HSSE:
• To effectively manage and minimize HSSE risk within area of responsibility by ensuring:
• Compliance with all HSSE Policies, rules, guidelines and legal requirements; Including HACCP enforcement and monitoring
• Promotion of safe working environment and positively contributing to the company HSSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies.
• That HSE competency requirements are identified & enforced within area of responsibility. Territory Manager specific HSSE requirements: Control of standards in terms of safety and security (equipment and processes)
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
• Must have experience within the Petroleum industry and working in dispatch operations, including direct contact with customers
• Diploma in CIPS or a related discipline
• Self-motivated with a high degree of comfort working independently in managing priorities and making decisions
• Must have a valid driver’s license, Class CE PSV preferred
• Strong understanding and ability to work with numbers, mathematical formulas and data analysis
• Strong sense of professionalism and ability to maintain discretion
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with customized internal computer programs
