JOB DETAILS:
Varun Beverages Zambia Ltd a leading Beverages manufacturing company situated at plot No. 37426, Mungwi Road in Heavy Industrial Area, Lusaka is URGENTLY looking looking for an experienced Utility Supervisor to oversee our Utility operations. You’ll guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows.
In a fast paced environment like Utility, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. You should also be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs.

Responsibilities
• Supervises operation, inspection and maintenance of all utility and waste water treatment equipment to certify efficient operation. Reviews and manages work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), master process, etc., as they pertain to utilities and the waste water treatment plant
• Supervises more than 10 skilled trade employees within the maintenance department, assess work prioritization and adjust work based upon machine and production standards using technical skill and knowledge to ensure peak performance and standards
• Make decisions in cooperation with production management for scheduling purposes and work prioritization
• Ensure follow up on necessary work orders and completion of tasks
• Use knowledge and expertise in the area to appropriately direct as well as troubleshoot appropriate machinery and processes
• Participates in setting technical direction for utility and facilities design adherence while adhering to Nestle Standards
• Provides utility and facilities design support for plant expansions, equipment installations, and changes or modifications to existing systems
• Maintains and updates the database of electronic and hard copy documents that supports utilities and infrastructure
• Coordinates, in a timely manner, the obtaining and submitting of utilities and infrastructure equipment preventive maintenance routines and spare parts to maintenance to ensure documentation and parts arrive for commissioning and startup

Requirements and skills
• Proven experience as Utility Supervisor or similar role
• Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
• Organizational and leadership abilities
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Problem-solving skills
• Diploma/ Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage
