Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Assistant, you will:
Proposal Development:
-Research funding opportunities and develop compelling proposals tailored
to donor and client needs.
-Assist in preparing budgets, concept notes, and project plans.
Project Support:
-Provide support during project implementation, including coordination,
reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
-Assist in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities to ensure project
goals are achieved.
Market Research and Analysis:
-Conduct research on SME trends, development issues, and funding landscapes in Zambia.
-Prepare briefs, presentations, and reports to inform decision-making.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
-Support relationship management with partners, donors, and beneficiaries.
-Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and other stakeholder activities.
Administrative Support:
-Maintain organized records of projects, proposals, and reports.
-Support day-to-day office operations as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
We are looking for someone who is:
-A recent graduate or junior professional with a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
-A strong writer with experience in report or proposal writing (internship or volunteer experience acceptable).
-Skilled in research and able to analyze and synthesize information effectively.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
-Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
-Passionate about development work, particularly in SMEs or NGO sectors.
Bonus Skills:
-Experience with monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
-Familiarity with donor-funded projects and processes.
-Knowledge of Zambia’s economic and social development landscape.
