JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for a qualified Sales Agronomist preferably with Agronomy and Soil Science as majors. This person will be based in Lusaka, Zambia and responsible for marketing and selling Omni fertilizer products to the Commercial farmer segment in Lusaka and Central Province.

Qualifications and Experience Required
• Qualification: BSc (Agronomy/Soil Science/Horticulture) as a minimum qualification
• Master’s will be advantageous
• Well experienced in a wide range of crops including soya beans, maize, tobacco, wheat, barley, potatoes, and tree crops (macadamias, avos)

Key Areas of Responsibility
• Provide strategic support to Omnia representatives/agents
• Provide professional fertilization and agronomic advice to farming enterprises
• Work in close cooperation with Omnia Regional Management
• Function as an integral part of and be central to the Omnia Marketing model

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Required
• Sound knowledge of fertilizer and chemical products with fertilization recommendations in mind
• Excellent language skills (verbal and written)
• Presentation skills
• Computer literacy
• Interest in a dynamic marketing environment
• Good grasp of the concepts of “client needs” and “adding value”
• Fluent/proficient in English
