LOLC Finance Zambia Limited is a registered Deposit taking Non-Bank Financial Institution with a Housing Finance License. The Company currently operates from eleven locations, namely Head Office in Lusaka, Main Branch in Central Lusaka, Kitwe, Solwezi, Chingola, Ndola, Kalumbila, Kabwe, Chipata, Mansa, Choma, Livingstone, Mongu and Kasama.

To support the LOLC Finance Zambia vision, we are recruiting qualified and experienced individuals for the following position:
1. BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP OFFICER (x 4) – LUSAKA, KITWE & LIVINGSTONE
To drive the growth of the institution’s secured lending portfolio (SME loans, asset-backed loans, and business finance) while ensuring robust credit risk management, compliance, and exceptional client service. The role combines sales leadership, credit analysis, and operational oversight to achieve business targets and uphold the institution’s financial integrity.
Job Responsibilities
i. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in SME loans, asset finance (mortgages, car loans, equipment financing), and secured business lending.
ii. Build a robust client pipeline through networking, referrals, cold calling, and cross-selling (e.g., consumer loans, deposits).
iii. Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets for loan disbursements and portfolio growth.
iv. Conduct thorough credit analysis, including financial viability assessments, collateral verification (value, ownership, legal standing), and repayment capacity evaluations.
v. Perform site visits (business and home) to validate applicant information and collateral.
vi. Prepare detailed loan write-ups and financial analyses for Credit Committee review, addressing queries and ensuring informed decision-making.
vii. Ensure all loan documentation complies with LOLCFZ requirements, institutional policies, and Zambian regulatory standards.
viii. Review KYC documents, upload verified records to designated platforms (e.g., shared folders, Microsoft Teams), and maintain organized credit master files.
ix. Manage daily credit operations, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven team environment.
Qualifications & Experience
i. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
ii. Minimum 5 years in financial services, with proven success in SME lending, asset finance, or secured business loans.
iii. Strong track record in meeting sales targets and managing credit risk in a regulated environment.
iv. Experience with Trade Finance Loans, collateral valuation, and Zambian AML/CFT regulations.
v. Expertise in credit analysis, financial modelling, and risk assessment tools.
vi. Proficiency in loan management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
vii. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
2. RECEPTIONIST (X1) – LUSAKA
This role demands professionalism, discretion, efficiency, and meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced financial services environment, where adherence to deadlines and organizational protocols is critical to maintaining operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
i. Create a warm, professional, and welcoming atmosphere for clients, visitors, and stakeholders.
ii. Screen and route calls professionally while handling client inquiries with discretion.
iii. Maintain a well-organized and presentable reception area at all times.
iv. Schedule, confirm, and coordinate client appointments.
v. Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, calls, mail, and deliveries.
vi. Assist in organizing and coordinating meetings, conferences, and events.
vii. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with data protection protocols.
viii. Manage office resources and support event coordination.
Qualifications & Experience
i. Diploma in Office Administration, Secretarial Studies, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
ii. At least 3 years of experience as a receptionist, preferably in the financial sector.
iii. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
iv. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
v. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
vi. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with diplomacy and grace.
vii. Team player with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
3. CREDIT OFFICER (x2) – LUSAKA
Job Responsibilities
i. Evaluate and assess credit applications to determine financial viability and risk exposure.
ii. Conduct detailed credit analysis, including reviewing bank statements, pay-slips, credit reference bureau report and KYC documents.
iii. Monitor the credit portfolio to identify early warning signs of potential defaults (first instalment defaults) and recommend mitigation strategies.
iv. Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
v. Participate in the development and review of credit policies and risk management frameworks.
vi. Provide guidance to sales consultants on completeness of KYC documents and affordability calculations.
vii. Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and risk assessment.
viii. Prepare and present credit reports and recommendations to the supervisor.
ix. Support the recovery team in managing delinquent accounts and minimizing credit losses.
x. Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit risk assessment models and processes.
xi. Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
i. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
ii. A minimum of 4 years of experience in credit analysis, sales, risk management, or a similar role within the financial sector.
iii. Strong understanding of credit risk principles, financial analysis, and regulatory requirements.
iv. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
v. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
vi. Knowledge of microfinance or non-bank financial institution (NBFI) lending practices is an added advantage.
4. OPERATIONS OFFICER (x2)
Job Responsibilities
i. Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures.
ii. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
iii. Assist senior operational staff in overseeing and coordinating allocated HQ/Branch operational functions.
iv. Identify and resolve HQ/Branch operational inefficiencies.
v. Handle escalated customer complaints and queries professionally and timely.
vi. Screen and verify Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation for completion and accuracy.
vii. Accurately process customer loan disbursements in a timely manner.
viii. Process contractual documentation for security-backed loan products.
ix. Periodically conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
x. Perform regular visits to branches to ensure operational consistency and address any issues.
xi. Process client customer clearance letters, settlement quotations and refunds
xii. Coordinate file archiving procedures for branch records
xiii. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the operations team.
Qualifications and Experience
i. Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
ii. 2 years of experience in a similar role.
iii. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
iv. Adaptable and able to work in a dynamic environment.
v. Detail-oriented and able to multitask.
vi. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
vii. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
viii. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
5. SALES CONSULTANT (4) – KALUMBILA, KASAMA, LIVINGSTONE & LUSAKA
i. Screen and prepare loan applications in line with the company lending policy
ii. Collect and evaluate clients’ financial information to determine credit worthiness
iii. Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
iv. Evaluate applicants credit worthiness by examining the application documentation in accordance with the company lending policy.
v. Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and establish feasibility of issuing loans.
vi. Submit loan applications to credit and respond to queries in timely manner.
vii. Respond and attend to all customer enquiries/queries and resolve any product related issues.
viii. Ensures that Copies of the signed Loan Contract, mandate forms and supporting documents are properly filed and scanned to share folder after processing.
ix. Conduct due diligence and proper verification of all loan documents submitted by Sales agents and Suppliers
Qualifications and Experience
i. Certified grade 12 certificate with a minimum of Credits in English and Mathematics
ii. Any business-related Diploma or Degree, preferably in Banking and Finance, Economics or Business Administration
iii. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Credit
iv. Background in a Microfinance Institution will be an added advantage
v. Preferably based in the respective location of application with own accommodation
