RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Making Bookings:

  • Placement of new bookings.
  • Changing bookings.
  • Re-instating bookings.
  • Adding excess baggage into bookings.
  • Collection of payments for tickets, excess baggage, change fees, etc.
  • Composing/answering emails using correct email etiquette.
  • Answering phone calls using correct phone etiquette.
  • Issuing, re-issuing, and voiding of tickets using correct airline procedures.
  • Sales reconciliation for each day’s sales.
  • Attending to customer complaints in person, over the phone/email, and responding in accordance with Customer Service policies.
  • Assisting passengers with all elements of their customer experience with Proflight Zambia while maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • Assisting the marketing department.
  • Promoting special offers.
  • Engaging with travel agents, corporates.
  • Conducting sales visits and providing feedback.
  • Attending to other duties assigned by the Reservations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the airline industry.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in a reservation department.
  • Experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the travel or airline industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with travel agents and customers.

  • Proficiency in English, adequate for job functions.
  • Awareness of emergency response actions.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and multitask.
