Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Zambia team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical transmission / distribution engineering, with a particular preference for individuals with commissioning experience. Experience in the mining and renewable energy sectors, will be considered a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage on-site commissioning projects, ensuring all stages of commissioning is conducted to the highest standard and within time.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests and on-site verification tests to ensure successful commissioning of Transmission and Distribution infrastructure.
• Develop and review designs and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other external parties to ensure smooth project execution.
• Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on Electrical Transmission and Distribution infrastructure.
• Professional registration with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) is a requirement.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
