JOB DETAILS:
Key Responsibilities
• Load, transport and dump materials such as copper ore and waste rock within the underground
mine.
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment before, during and after every shift
Safely drive and maneuver heavy equipment around the mine and underground
Safely operate heavy equipment according to company standard operating procedures
Report any equipment malfunctions or required repairs to the mechanic workshop
Initiate and participate in equipment handover with the shift supervisor and cross shift operator.
Monitoring equipment and reporting any problems according to mine operating procedures.
Always attend daily pre-shift meetings.
Aid other mine operations as and when required
Fill out equipment log books
Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills And Physical Requirements
• Minimum Grade 12 Certificate
Certificate of competence in operating heavy equipment
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mining and mineral processing operations

Education Requirement: No Requirements
