1. Introduction
The Zambia Climate Change Network (ZCCN) is seeking the services of a professional website designer/developer to build a modern, user-friendly, and mobile-responsive website that will enhance the organization’s online presence. The website should effectively communicate ZCCN’s vision, mission, and activities while providing an engaging and informative platform for stakeholders, partners, and the general public.

2. Background on ZCCN
ZCCN is a civil society network dedicated to climate and environmental justice, policy advocacy, and sustainable development in Zambia. The organization engages with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, the private sector, international development partners, and grassroots communities, to promote climate resilience and sustainable livelihoods.
The website will serve as a central information hub for ZCCN’s activities, publications, and partnerships, ensuring easy access to relevant updates, reports, and events.

3. Objective of the Assignment
The main objective of this assignment is to design and develop a modern, functional, and secure website for ZCCN that meets the following key requirements:
-User-friendly interface that is easy to navigate.
-Mobile responsiveness for seamless access across devices.
-Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to enhance visibility on Google and other search engines.
-Integration of social media platforms for increased engagement.
-Professional email setup for effective communication.
-Contact form and Google Maps integration to improve accessibility.
-Analytics setup for tracking website performance and visitor engagement.

4. Scope of Work
The web designer/developer will be expected to:

1. Develop a 5-page website with the following sections:
2. Home Page – A welcoming, visually appealing homepage with key highlights.
3. About Us – A section detailing ZCCN’s mission, vision, objectives, and partners.
4.Services/Programs – An overview of ZCCN’s activities, focus areas, projects and membership.
5. Blog/News – A section for updates, reports, and newsletters.
6. Contact Page – Includes a contact form, Google Maps location, and essential details.

4.2 Functional Features
-Mobile-responsive design that adjusts across various devices.
-Basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for increased online visibility.
-Unlimited professional email setup under ZCCN’s domain.
-Integration of a functional contact form for inquiries.
-Google Maps integration for easy location access.
-Social media integration (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.).
-Analytics setup (Google Analytics or equivalent) for tracking visitor interactions.
-Security features including SSL certification and anti-spam protection.

4.3 Training and Support
1. Provide basic training to ZCCN staff on how to update and maintain the website.
2. Offer Three months of post-launch support to ensure smooth functionality.

5. Deliverables
The selected consultant/firm is expected to deliver:
1. A fully functional, mobile-responsive website with all specified features.
2. User manuals or training materials for ZCCN staff.
3. Handover of all credentials (admin access, emails, analytics, domain hosting details).
4. Three months of technical support and maintenance post-launch.

6. Qualification and Experience Requirements
Interested web designers/firms must demonstrate:
-Proven experience in website design and development (minimum 3 years).
-Portfolio of at least three previously developed websites (preferably for NGOs, networks, or similar organizations).
-Knowledge of SEO optimization, social media integration, and analytics setup.
-Ability to provide training and after-launch support.
-Excellent understanding of security best practices for websites.

7. Timeline
The assignment is expected to be completed within 30 working days from the date of contract signing.

8. Submission Guidelines
Interested applicants should submit:
1. A detailed proposal outlining their approach, methodology, and work plan.
2. Portfolio of previous work (links to existing websites developed).
3. Financial proposal (quotation) detailing the total cost of the project.
4. Company profile or CV of the lead developer(s).

4. Post-Development Support (10%) – Maintenance, training, and handover process.

11. Contract Award
The successful bidder will be notified within 72 Hours of the closing date and will be expected to commence work immediately.
