An international NGO active in humanitarian aid and development cooperation is looking for a workshop Facilitator.

Title:
Discussion of Recommended Implementation Guidelines for the Integrated Landscape Management (ILM) Concept in Zambia.

On behalf of Caritas Czech Republic, a non-governmental organization operating in Zambia, we invite qualified facilitators to submit bids for conducting a participatory validation workshop.

Background: The Integrated Landscape Management (ILM) concept has been developed through extensive stakeholder engagement, including individual interviews and focus group discussions under the Sustainable Landscape through Integrated Management. To ensure the concept is comprehensive and widely accepted, a discussion workshop to review draft recommended implementation guidelines of the ILM will be conducted with key stakeholders from government agencies, local communities, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and academia. The discussion workshop aims to:

• Present and refine draft recommended implementation guidelines ILM concept based on stakeholder input. The current aim is thus to discuss (validate) the recommended implementation guidelines to ensure they realistically capture the situation and potential ways to implement ILM. Besides the discussion itself, the aim may be to expand and/or further specify the recommendations.
• The discussion may also serve as a means of enhancing the ownership and contributing to the uptake of the recommendations by various stakeholders.
• Foster participatory dialogue among stakeholders to ensure consensus and inclusivity.
• Identify gaps and opportunities for the effective implementation of ILM in Zambia.
• Strengthen collaboration and multi-sectoral coordination in ILM.

Scope of Work

The selected facilitator will be responsible for:

• Co-design an interactive and participatory workshop agenda in close collaboration with project partners. Preparing facilitation materials and tools to engage diverse stakeholders effectively (expected time frame 1 to 2 days).
• Workshop facilitation (1 to 2 days)
  o Leading discussions to validate the ILM concept and document stakeholder feedback.
  o Employing participatory approaches such as group discussions, interactive exercises, and consensus-building techniques.
  o Ensuring that all voices are heard, particularly marginalized groups.
• Synthesizing key findings and recommendations from the workshop (1 day)

Expected Deliverables

• A detailed workshop agenda and facilitation plan.
• Summary of stakeholder feedback on the ILM concept.
• A final workshop report outlining key discussions, agreements, and recommendations for next steps.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Interested bidders should meet the following criteria:

• Proven experience in facilitating multi-stakeholder workshops, particularly in natural resource management, environmental governance, or sustainable development.
• Strong knowledge of participatory methodologies.
•  Familiarity with Integrated Landscape Management principles and applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•  Ability to synthesize complex information and facilitate consensus-building.

Duration and Location: The workshop is expected to take place over two days in Zambia, with potential preparatory meetings leading up to the event.
