JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
• Auto-electrical repair and maintenance of mobile equipment (light & heavy) including other mechanical installations such as diesel engines for water pumps and generators.
• Performing standard installation, maintenance and repairing.
• Installing related equipment for safe operation of all equipment.
• Investigating, diagnosing and performing trade related maintenance and repairs of equipment and machinery.
• Attending to defects on pre-start reports, breakdowns and inspection reports.
• Reporting all defects and breakdowns to the Auto Electrical Foreman.
• Ensuring 85% availability of machinery.
• Identifying spares requirements on equipment after assessment and requesting according to departmental procedures.
• Compiling checklists for submission to the Supervisor.
• Adhering to established Quality, Safety and Environmental Regulations and Procedures.
• Ensuring good housekeeping all times and that tools kept clean in appropriate places after use.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Craft Certificate in Auto Electrical.
• Minimum of one (01) year working experience on heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
• Underground working experience will be an added advantage.
• Good Oral and Written Communication Skills.
• Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• Good Problem-solving Skills.
