JOB DETAILS:
Scaw Limited is a Copperbelt-based manufacturing Company specialized in the manufacturing of grinding media, castings products, industrial oxygen and acetylene, that was established in 1960.
The Company seeks to employ a suitably qualified, experienced and result oriented individual to fill up the following position(s) on a two-year contract renewable depending on individual performance;
1. ARTISAN MECHANICAL FITTERS (05)

Job Purpose
To effectively and efficiently perform mechanical maintenance and repair works on all process plant machinery and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities;
• Receives daily works schedules in form of works orders or defects dockets on mechanical works to be done during the day/week.
• Interprets engineering mechanical drawings for new instalments in order to come up with materials, tools and number of employees to execute the works.
• Diagnose the nature of mechanical component defects by carrying out a root cause analysis and determining the required parts and materials for repairs.
• Determine the corrective actions and implement.
• Report work progress and completed tasks to the supervisor in order for the works to be evaluated and certified.
• Complies with all safety rules and procedures in order to mitigate and eliminate injuries at work place for the employee, workmate and machineries.

• Demonstrate sound work ethics

Qualifications
• Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with Five (05) Credits better.
• Craft Certificate in Mechanical Fitting.
Work Experience
• At least one year in mechanical fitting

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: Professional Certificate
