JOB DETAILS:
Responsible For: Provision of consultancy in tax, auditing, risk management, project management, management accounting, financial accounting and reporting.
Remuneration: Fixed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Key Tasks & Outputs
1. Tax Consultancy a. Assist clients with tax planning and preparations of tax estimates.
b. Assist clients with determination of tax liability.
c. Preparation and filing of all tax returns for affiliate companies and clients.
d. Advising and assisting clients in claiming of tax refunds.
2. Preparation of Financial Statements a) Preparation of financial statements on behalf of clients in accordance with the applicable accounting and financial reporting frameworks.
b) Ensure that financial statements for clients are prepared in accordance with the applicable laws, regulations and company financial manuals.
3. Accounting and Bookkeeping a) Preparation of Management Accounts and Variance Analyses for clients.
b) Maintain books of accounts for clients in accordance with applicable accounting or financial reporting frameworks.
4. Other Non-Audit Services a) Designing and implementing internal controls for clients.
b) Human Resource, Payroll Management and Administration on behalf of clients.
c) Company/Business and statutory registrations.
d) Undertake Immigration consultancy.
e) Assisting clients with services such as; internal audit assurance, information systems, project management, procurement, financial management, investigations and consultancy/advisory.
f) Implementing internal audit and risk management/compliance departments.
g) Implementing audit and risk management software for clients.
h) Preparation and filing of statutory returns (such as NAPSA, Workers Compensation, PACRA, NHIMA) for affiliate companies and on behalf of clients.
i) Setting up cybersecurity controls.
5. Training Clients in the following areas. a) Business, Entrepreneurship and Wealth Creation.
b) Anti-Fraud Controls.
c) Internal Audit, Risk Management and Compliance.
d) Cybersecurity Controls.
e) Corporate Governance.
f) Project Management.

1. Minimum qualification requirements and competencies:
• University Degree in Finance/Accounting.
• A Professional Qualification such as ZICA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA, CRMA or CFE.
• 3 Years of work experience in an external audit firm environment with at least 1-year experience in tax consultancy will be desirable.

2. Accounting Knowledge and Experience
• Knowledge of various accounting and financial reporting frameworks and standards (Global Internal Audit Standards) as promulgated by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
• Knowledge of Risk Management standards/frameworks and Corporate Governance Codes and Standards.

3. Laws and Regulations
• Knowledge of international and Zambian tax laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of the Accountants Acta and the Companies Act.

4. Performance Management
• Ability to set and deliver business goals, monitor and assess achievements against performance targets, quality standards, and service agreements that aligns with business plan.
• Must be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach.
• Excellent marketing skills and good knowledge of economic and financial matters.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel to client premises who are outside Lusaka.

5. Reporting and Communication Skills
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, speak clearly to third parties and employees, interpret documents, understand procedures, and write reports and correspondence.
