JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and submit financial returns to regulators and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Work closely with the Management Accountant to support decision-making processes.
• Reconcile accounts and oversee general ledger activities.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Full or part qualification in ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA is an added advantage.
• Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience in a financial institution.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
