JOB DETAILS:
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the job holder will be responsible for all wood works and installation of all wood fixtures including period maintenance of all woods works within and around the facility.

Main Duties and Accountabilities
o Ensuring all wood works are done with precision ensuring that they are within the defined specification and quality.
o Completing works as per design / as instructed in order to meet the required demands
o Ordering materials with specification required for wood works
o Maintaining and keeping in good order all tools used for carpentry
o Maintaining a good and trackable record of material used / procured and report the same to management.
o Performing carpentry works in a safer and secure environment always ensuring own safety and that of others and equipment.
• Responding promptly to calls for wood works of an emergency nature required within and around the Border facility.

Requirements
• Grade Twelve School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) Equivalent;
• Certificate in Carpentry or any related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years' hands-on experience in a similar role
