Job Introduction
G4S-Zambia seeks to appoint a Cash Security Manager who will take overall responsibility for the security and risk analysis of our Cash Business in Zambia
This position demands a highly competent and adaptable individual who will need to deal with Security strategy formulation, policy and procedures and compliance. Some of the critical functions will be analyse and mitigate risk in the cash business.
This position will be based in Lusaka and is on a fulltime basis and will be responsible for the overall security of the Cash Business. The role will report to the Managing Director
Role Responsibility
1. Managing the Security Compliance Section
• Ensuring that the functions of the Security Compliance Section are aligned with Group policies and the strategic direction set by Executive Management.
• Ensuring the day-to-day operational management ( planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling) of the Security Compliance Section.
• Provide support, coaching and mentoring to ensure that objectives are met.
• Apply performance management where required.
• General administration of the Security Compliance Section.
• Security Audits
• Ensuring that the Group Global Cash Mandatory Security Principles and Minimum Security Standards are effectively and efficiently embedded in Cash Operations.
• Coordinating MSP self-assessments and the compilation of corrective action plans.
• Conducting and/or managing/coordinating MSP audits and reviews and ensuring that the Cash Security Audit Finding Database is updated accordingly.
• Ensure that instructions (in case of cash security policy, MSP and minimum standard breaches) and recommendations (in case of risk mitigating extra security measures) resulting from MSP audits be issued/communicated to Operations/Line Management.
• Monitoring of corrective actions
• Business Unit Compliance with Group Security Policies & Approval Processes & Reporting
• Ensuring BU compliance with Group Security Policies & Approval Processes. This includes amongst others:
• Operating Limit applications & approvals.
• New design /renovation of cash premises applications & approvals.
• New design/refurbishment of CIT vehicle applications & approvals/
• Monthly Security Reporting to Group & Zambia Exco
• Management of Security Controllers
• Responsible for oversight over the training, SOPs, and general management of Security Controllers
• Investigations Assistance
• Investigations assistance as and when required
• Health & Safety
• Adhering to health & safety regulations in terms of G4S Group Policy.
• Adhering to health & safety regulations in terms of the South African National Legislation.
• Participate in safety forums created by the company, including safety meetings and safety talks.
• Report safety incidents.
• Discuss safety incidents on all levels.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures at the workplace.
• Distribute safety information as and when required
The Ideal Candidate
Knowledge
• In-depth knowledge of Cash Security company policies, and procedures
• In-depth knowledge of Cash Security Best Practices
• Knowledge on how to conduct Cash Security Audits & Reviews.
• Knowledge of Risk Management methodologies.
• Investigation experience.
• General familiarity of Zambian Law
• Extensive computer literacy (Word; Powerpoint; Excel; Google)
