Job description:
Purpose
To ensure all maintenance activities within an Operation area/defined set of physical assets are executed safely and cost effectively by competent maintenance personnel in accordance with work schedules, relevant standards and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Mobilise and supervise contractors, suppliers and vendors to ensure safe provision of maintenance services in line with service agreements, plans, and applicable standards.
• Liaise with Production and Engineering Superintendents to ensure Maintenance schedules and plans are aligned with Production requirements, standards, and specifications.
• Closely collaborate with other Maintenance Superintendents to ensure the crews apply consistent, safe, and effective work practices.
• Working with OEM on improvement, Modification, upgrade, testing procedure & ways to improve panto availability.
• Working with KMP on Skid maintenance & Upgrades.
• Working with Forman and Technical advisor for constant improvement.
• Work Strategy Management and Monitoring: Provide input into maintenance strategies and medium term planning;
• Ensure the safe and effective execution maintenance activities in line with production requirements and plans;
• Oversee reporting activities and make sure the maintenance and operations management is continuously informed about significant operational performance issues;
• Ensure critical controls are correctly and consistently applied by all teams.
• Schedule and Work Management: Manage the work centre capacity and control the weekly work schedule to ensure timely and accurate delivery against work management plans, as well as for any unplanned (breakdown) work requirements;
• Analyse variances, trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement of work practices across shifts.
• Team Management: Take full supervisory responsibility for the maintenance execution team (incl. people, budget, and planning) and ensure it meets or exceed targets/ KPIs related to safety, quality, quantity, and timing;
• Ensure Maintenance Supervisors spend appropriate time in the field and that all maintenance personnel are fully competent to work safely.
• MSD standard and Compliance to be follow periodically based on tasks

Qualifications
• Full Grade 12
• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Member of EIZ
• Driving License

Experience
• A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in a related role
• Must have vast experience dealing with Mobile mining equipment in the mining industry.
