JOB DETAILS:
Dean of Students: is a senior administrative role responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of student services and programs. The role aims to enhance student life, support academic success, and ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging campus environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Administration: Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Office of Student Affairs.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that support student success and well-being.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of Student Affairs staff.
• Prepare and manage the Student Affairs budget.
2. Student Development and Support:
• Oversee programs related to student engagement, leadership development, and campus involvement.
• Support initiatives that promote student retention and graduation.
• Address and resolve student issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and other concerns.
• Advocate for student needs and represent the student body in administrative meetings.
3. Campus Life and Community Building: Foster a sense of community and belonging among students.
• Develop and support co-curricular programs that enhance the educational experience.
• Coordinate with other departments to support student organizations, activities, and events.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the student body.
• Crisis Management and Safety:
• Develop and implement crisis response protocols and procedures.
• Coordinate with campus security and local authorities to ensure student safety.
• Provide support and resources to students in crisis or distress.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to student safety and welfare.
4. Collaboration and Outreach: Collaborate with academic departments to support the holistic development of students.
• Partner with external organizations to provide additional resources and opportunities for students.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
• Serve as a liaison between the student body and university administration.
5. Assessment and Evaluation: Monitor and assess the effectiveness of student services and programs.
• Utilize data to inform decision-making and improve student outcomes.
• Prepare and present reports on student affairs to senior leadership.

Qualifications:
• Dean of Students’ Affairs with a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years experience in higher education teaching/ administration/ psychosocial counseling
