Summary
Reporting to the Managing Director, the position will be responsible for overseeing all technology and operational functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, while driving innovation, efficiency, and reliability. The role involves managing IT infrastructure, digital transformation, cybersecurity, network operations, and ensuring overall operational excellence. The role will also be providing strategic insights and recommendations to the Managing Director and the leadership team in order to enhance business performance and competitiveness.
Description
The incumbent will be responsible for, among others, the following:
• Developing and implementing technology strategy aligned with the business goals.
• Overseeing IT infrastructure, software development, and system integrations.
• Ensuring business continuity through robust disaster recovery and cybersecurity measures.
• Driving digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Streamlining operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implementing best practices in IT service management (ITSM) and operational frameworks.
• Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, standards, and governance policies.
• Leading the adoption of automation, AI, and cloud computing for business optimisation.
• Leading and mentoring high performing technology and operations teams.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and technology partners.
Minimum Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s Degree added advantage).
• Professional certifications such as, ITIL, Cisco, Fortinet, TOGAF) are an advantage.
• 10-15 years of experience in technology and operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience in the telecommunications, IT, or infrastructure sector is highly desirable.
• A proven track record in IT management, network operations and process optimisation.
