Mary’s Meals is a fast-growing international charity, currently providing a daily meal to slightly over two million hungry and impoverished children across four continents in their place of education. Mary’s Meals Zambia delivers school feeding to children in the Eastern Province of Zambia.

Mary’s Meals Zambia is currently recruiting for the role of ;
Human Resource Assistant (Temporal /Maternity Cover).
Station: Chipata
Reports to: Human Resource Advisor – Operations

Purpose of the role
• The Human Resource Assistant will provide administration support during staff recruitment, including processing new starter packs, selection, Support induction of new staff, monitoring staff performance management by administering probation and professional development, manage staff Exit information and reporting by keeping HR Databases up to date.

Key responsibilities
• Support staff recruitment and selection processes.
• Place recruitment adverts for vacant positions as advised by HR Operations Manager
• Support with scheduling of interviews with applicants and appropriate internal staff.
• Ensure that staff exit procedures are in compliance with Mary’s Meals Zambia HR policy and Country labour law.
• Support the induction of new staff by Preparing induction packs for new starts and ensure the new staff information is recorded and filed properly
• Support the L&D Advisor in monitoring staff performance management and professional development.
• Support the L&D Advisor in Collaborating with line managers for setting and monitoring performance objectives for all staff.
• Manage staff information and reporting – filing for HR Information, including sensitive and confidential information and maintain manual and electronic employee folders, filing contracts, letters, emails and details updated regularly.
• Manage the leave tracking system and generate leave utilisation reports.
• Support the HR team on HR projects.

Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Management or any relevant social science.
• Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management
• Proven experience of not less than one (1 year) in Human Resource Operations.
• Experience in delivering in an NGO organisation is an added advantage
• Can multitask.
• Exceptional communications skills
