About the job Job Placement Coordinator
One of the program departments within the Family Legacy Ministry is Excel Beyond. Excel Beyond exists to launch equipped and Godly young adults into the workforce. The Job Placement Coordinator is essential in achieving this mission by enabling successful employment, internship, and career development opportunities for the program graduates.
This role involves organizing and promoting successful employment placements, coordinating valuable internships that provide hands-on experience, and offering comprehensive career development programs. By building strong partnerships with local businesses and organizations, the coordinator ensures that program participants have access to a diverse array of job opportunities and resources. Ultimately, the Job Placement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in guiding individuals toward fulfilling and sustainable careers that align with their skills and aspirations.
The person in this position will establish and maintain effective communication channels between these organizations and Family Legacy. They will also actively seek out new organizations that could support the ministry’s goals and work to build relationships with them.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Job Market Research and Analysis
• Conduct in-depth research to identify emerging industries, high-growth sectors, and regional job market trends.
• Analyze labor market data, including employment rates, skill demand forecasts, and hiring patterns, to inform placement strategies.
• Develop comprehensive reports on market trends, presenting insights to academic departments and leadership teams for curriculum alignment.
• Identify skill gaps within industries and communicate these to students and academic teams to help address employability needs.
• Build a database of market research findings, including industry contacts, job descriptions, and sectoral growth indicators, for continuous program improvement.
• Stay updated on changes in labor laws, immigration policies, and industry standards affecting placements.
2. Placement Management
• Develop a structured process for identifying and securing internships and job opportunities for students.
• Match students to placement opportunities based on their academic qualifications, skills, career aspirations, and market demand.
• Coordinate pre-placement activities, ensuring readiness for interviews, onboarding, and professional workplace integration.
• Monitor student performance during internships or placements by gathering feedback from employers and providing guidance for improvement.
• Maintain a dynamic placement database, tracking student participation, placement outcomes, and employer satisfaction to enhance program efficiency.
• Address any challenges faced by students during placements, serving as the primary point of contact for conflict resolution.
3. Student Preparation and Career Development
• Provide personalized career counseling to help students refine their goals, identify strengths, and overcome barriers to employability.
• Develop and deliver workshops and training sessions on resume building, cover letter writing, interviewing skills, and professional networking.
• Organize industry-specific career orientation programs to familiarize students with workplace expectations and industry requirements.
• Share labor market insights with students, helping them understand current and future trends relevant to their career aspirations.
• Conduct mock interviews, assessment centers, and case-study evaluations to improve students’ readiness for recruitment processes.
• Guide students on the use of career development tools, online job portals, and professional networking platforms like LinkedIn.
4. Employer Relations and Partnership Development
• Proactively identify and build relationships with employers across a range of industries, focusing on creating diverse and high-quality placement opportunities.
• Organize networking events, recruitment drives, and career fairs to connect students with industry professionals.
• Serve as the primary liaison between students and employers, ensuring smooth communication and addressing any concerns.
• Collect and analyze feedback from employers to improve placement services and address gaps in student readiness.
• Develop long-term partnerships with organizations in emerging and high-demand industries to provide sustainable placement opportunities.
• Promote the institutions programs and student talent pool to employers, emphasizing the value of collaboration.
5. Program Administration
• Maintain meticulous records of placement activities, including contracts, performance evaluations, employer contacts, and student progress reports.
• Generate detailed reports on placement outcomes, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as placement rates, employer feedback, and student satisfaction.
• Collaborate with academic departments to align placement opportunities with program learning objectives and accreditation standards.
• Ensure all placement activities comply with institutional policies, legal standards, and industry regulations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline placement operations and ensure consistency.
• Regularly assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance placement outcomes.

Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelors degree in Career Development, Human Resources, Market Research, Education, or a related field.
• A masters degree or certifications in Career Services, Market Research, or related areas will be an advantage.
Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in career services, recruitment, market analysis, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with employers and stakeholders.
• Experience in conducting labor market analysis and aligning findings with program objectives.
Skills:
• Strong research and analytical skills to interpret and apply labor market data effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools, career services management systems, and reporting software.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
