JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial insights and support to management, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis
1. Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and projections.
2. Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
3. Develop financial models to support business decisions.

Financial Reporting
1. Prepare management accounts, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
2. Analyze and interpret financial results to provide insights to management.
3. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

Cost Management
1. Develop and implement cost management strategies.
2. Analyze and report on costs, including labor, materials, and overheads.
3. Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.

Performance Management
1. Develop and implement performance metrics and benchmarks.
2. Analyze and report on performance against targets and benchmarks.
3. Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.

Decision Support
1. Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions.
2. Evaluate financial implications of business proposals and projects.
3. Develop business cases and financial models to support investment decisions.
Risk Management
1. Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities.
2. Develop and implement risk management strategies.
3. Monitor and report on risk exposure.

Internal Controls and Compliance
1. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
2. Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
3. Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure compliance.
Communication and Stakeholder Management
1. Communicate financial information and insights to management and stakeholders.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
3. Provide training and support to staff on financial matters.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ZICA).
2. Minimum 5+ years of experience in management accounting, preferably in the logistics or courier industry.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
4. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, ).
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
7. Strong leadership and management skills.
