Position Overview:
• We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Principal Loss Adjuster specializing in Engineering Risks.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil or agricultural engineering, with additional qualifications in project management.
• This role involves investigating complex insurance claims related to engineering projects, assessing damages, and facilitating fair settlements between insurers and claimants.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigation and Assessment:
• Conduct thorough site inspections to evaluate damages or losses related to engineering projects.
• Analyze the root causes of incidents and determine the extent of insurance liability.
• Gather and review evidence, including technical reports, blueprints, and maintenance records.
Claims Management:
• Liaise with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders to manage claims efficiently.
• Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, liability assessments, and recommended settlements.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and insurers to ensure fair and equitable resolutions.
Risk Mitigation and Advisory:
• Advise clients on risk management strategies to prevent future losses.
• Provide guidance on policy coverage and assist in policy interpretation.
• Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in engineering and insurance.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or agricultural engineering.
• Additional qualifications in Project Engineering are essential.
Professional Experience:
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in loss adjusting, specifically handling engineering-related claims.
• Proven track record in managing complex and high-value claims.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in technical report writing.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Familiarity with local and international engineering standards and regulations.
