Job Purpose
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding our client base. Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being aware of new products and competition status. Overseeing daily operations of retail stores, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Cultivate lasting relationships with customers to grow customer loyalty.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to our B2B clients.
• Identify new business opportunities and turn them into a win-win for both us and our clients.
• Manage and nurture our existing customer relationships, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
• Manage and motivate retail staff, providing coaching and support for professional development.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to execute promotional events and campaigns.
• Collaborate with the store’s visual merchandiser to create appealing product displays.
• Collaborate with our marketing team to create compelling sales materials.
• Analyze sales data to continually optimize our sales process and strategy.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
• Conduct regular meetings with the retail team to communicate goals, expectations and updates.
• Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
• Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences and competitive landscape to drive innovation
• Present sales, revenue, and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
• Coach and mentor the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field.
• Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience working in a Sales or Retail Manager
• Proven experience in B2B sales.
• Proven sales experience, meeting or exceeding targets.
• In-depth knowledge of retail operations and inventory management.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Must have a mindset that’s always looking for opportunities to improve and innovate.
• Understanding of sales techniques and customer service best practices in Zambia
• Must have knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail analytics.
• Strong business sense and retail/electronics industry expertise.
• Ability to analyze sales data and use it to drive strategy.
• Ability to build rapport with key clients and maintain strong relationships.
• Must be a member of ZIM
