Job Purpose
The Sales Manager role will be responsible for all sales, operations and compliance of the digital sales department as well as mentoring and development of sales staff. The sales Manager will also be responsible for growing POS sales through effective business development and managing relations with retail, corporate and SMES. Manage a team of executives responsible for selling loan and Forex products to the customers based on their needs. Ensure mapping of market and customers according to their need and handle queries to ensure customer satisfaction.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Formulating and implementing marketing strategies to attain the set POS targets
• Identify opportunities to bring in new business
• Ensuring compliance to the anti -Money Laundering Act and know your customer(KYC) policy and compliance with all statutory requirements
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision makers
• Identify and pursue new business sales
• Conduct sales promotion activities through DSA and Sales Executives in open market and improve relationships through expos & events, various activities etc.
• Responsible for launching new products and services in market (Forex & Loans)
• Ensure key customer satisfaction through customer service of the highest quality.
• Handle all end to end activities related to the product i.e. from Login to Disbursement.
• Liaise with various departments within the system (Credit/Operations etc) to ensure smooth process flows.
• Translate Sales Department strategy into target per sales Officer
• Work with Relationship Managers in the formulation of Sales and Marketing Strategy for the Bank
• Create and implement and monitor sales plans and hold daily meetings
• Responsible for acquisition of channel partners for sourcing products – Connectors, DSAs etc.
• Improve relationship with branches and monitor the performance of ARMs and deepen the relationship with existing clients.
• Planning and managing the customer experience and customer complaints for the department
• Preparing and analyzing profit and loss statements for the department and maintaining positive financials and ensuring optimal level of customer services
• Identify potential strategic partners/relationships to enhance markets share
• Prevent/ minimize the fraudulent/risky proposals entry into the system.
• Provide timely feedback to central team for improvements in product features & processes.
• Conduct training for Sales executives and Direct Selling Agents (DSA) on selling/product.
• Create a performance-oriented environment through effective team management, leading to high employee motivation and productivity.
• Managing the promotion of all the bank products and services with Corporate / Government Clients
• Follow up to track scheduling of appointments with the customers
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent Negotiating Skills
• Proven experience in sales management, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Knowledge of the banking sector and market trends.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Banking/Commercial Field,
• An MBA is an added advantage
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role with a Commercial Bank or well established micro-financial institution
• Professional certifications such as ACI, or equivalent
• Must have experience in Sales and marketing of Forex, Digital Sales/ POS sales
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Member of relevant professional body
