The Company Seeks the Services of a Security Operations Superintendent x1
Job Purpose
The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
- Implement contingency plans to protect the Company from risks in adverse conditions and events
- Implement and sustain effective security technologies and approaches and manage security improvement projects on an ongoing basis.
- Build constructive relationships with the host communities and local law enforcement agencies
- Communicate the Company’s security best practices to peers and line management
- Effectively supervise the security team’s workload by preparing shift schedules, overtime requests and annual leave rosters.
- Efficiently co-ordinate all intelligence gathering and criminal investigations through to conviction
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of outsourced security service providers in line with the Service Level Agreement
- Deliver an efficient physical security service by ensuring that Company security team and hired security personnel provide effective guard ship to detect and prevent thefts, accidents and unauthorized intrusions.
- Maintain a key register and assure the safe custody of keys deposited with Security Department for safekeeping
- Manage the security control room ensuring the effective functioning and deployment of electronic surveillance and CCTV systems.
- Manage the performance of subordinates to achieve results through on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring
- Supervise preparation of accurate and fit-for-purpose analytical and statistical reports on security operations and activities.
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
- Degree in Security Management or any other security related qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in Security Management in mining industries
- All academic qualification should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to company policies and corporate objectives.
