Overview:
Sako Energy Zambia Limited is seeking an experienced Solar Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive the growth of our solar energy solutions in Zambia. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, strong business acumen, and a deep understanding of solar energy markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy and Leadership
Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market reach and revenue.
Set sales targets and monitor team performance to achieve business goals.
Identify new business opportunities through market research and networking.
2. Team Management & Development
Lead, mentor, and train the sales team to enhance productivity.
Establish a performance-driven culture, ensuring accountability and motivation.
Conduct regular sales meetings to track progress and address challenges.
3. Client Engagement & Business Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Conduct site assessments and recommend tailored solar solutions.
Oversee the preparation of customized proposals and cost-benefit analyses.
4. Negotiation & Deal Closure
Lead high-value negotiations to secure contracts and partnerships.
Ensure compliance with company policies and contract accuracy.
Work closely with the finance team to establish competitive pricing strategies.
5. Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights
Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and technological advancements.
Provide feedback to the product development team based on market needs.
Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
6. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with engineering, project management, and customer service teams for seamless execution.
Oversee post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Renewable Energy, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in solar energy sales with a strong background in leadership and business development.
• Deep knowledge of solar energy systems, financial incentives, and industry regulations.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to strategize, manage teams, and drive sales growth in a competitive environment.
• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office tools.
